Where Words Inspire, Connect, and Transform

The Last Light Fades

A candle flickers, barely bright
A lonely star in endless night
Its wax dissolves, its wick burns thin
Each second stealing what has been

I cup the flame, I beg, I breathe
Yet still the embers start to leave
No hands can hold what time will take
No prayers will halt the dawn’s mistake

The last light fades, the dark remains
And silence hums within my veins
